Guidance


Counselors are available to help students who face many of today's challenges and concerns. Click on the following link for information and resources regarding college, career choices, study skills, drugs and alcohol, and stress management:

Counselors assist students in:

  • Working towards positive school experiences
  • Making responsible decisions
  • Developing career awareness
  • Mapping career plans
  • Planning for college and work

Counselors, as integral members of the school staff, provide guidance services to students and consultation services to parents and teachers.  Counselors work with students in individual and small group counseling sessions and provide classroom developmental guidance programs for large groups of students.

Other Programs

Peer Tutors: provide tutorial assistance in all subjects.
Peer Helpers: provide support to other peers; a friend to listen to peers.
Peer Mediators: provide assistance in resolving conflicts peacefully.
