Western Tech continues to raise its performance on Advanced Placement tests. Students enrolled in advanced placement courses may participate in a culminating advanced placement exam in May offered through College Board. All exams are scored on a five point scale with a score of 3 considered to be meeting the standard requirements of the course. Many U.S. universities and colleges will award credits for exams with a score of 3 or higher, or waive prerequisite course requirements.

Last school year, an astounding 286 Western Tech students completed 563 exams. Of those students, roughly 79% received a passing score of 3 or higher.

The table below demonstrates the growth of our AP score results. Each year our advanced placement program continues to reach more students--exposing our students to rigorous content and ensuring they graduate college and career ready.
