County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Governor Wes Moore, Principal Jewell Ralph, & AHP Teacher Bethany BiragoGovernor Wes Moore visited Western Tech on Wed., Sept. 13 with Maryland Labor Secretary Portia Wu,  Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, and BCPS Superintendent Myriam Rogers to tour the building and interact with students from Western Tech and Lansdowne High School.  The dignitaries visited the classrooms of three magnet programs:  Allied Health Professionals led by Bethany Birago, Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management headed by Chef Lisa Tomecek, and Cosmetology taught by Tammy Cooney.  Western Tech Principal Jewell Ralph, Assistant Principals Jen Martinez and Tiffany Harris, and Lansdowne Principal Allison Seymour escorted the Governor, Secretary of Labor, County Executive, and Superintendent.  Governor Moore summarized his challenge to young students to find a Career & Technology Education program that interests them and to pursue it.
